Bridging the Gap to Mental Wellness
Bridging Access to Mental Health Care for Those in Need
Bridges to Healing is a 501(c)(3) public charity helping people in Western Ohio access life-changing mental health counseling when financial barriers stand in the way.
Rising insurance costs, high deductibles, and limited coverage can place therapy out of reach for people who are ready for help. We exist to help close that gap.

Inspiring Hope. Strengthening Families. Building Healthier Communities.
Every day, people in our community struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and stress. They want help. They are ready for change. But too often, financial barriers stand in the way.
Bridges to Healing helps fund mental health counseling with trusted, professional therapists for individuals in Western Ohio who would otherwise go without care. Hope and healing should be available to everyone, not just those who can afford it.

The Problem
Mental Health Care Exists. Access Can Be Hard.
A parent lies awake at night worrying about bills and children. A teenager struggles with anxiety but keeps it hidden. A working professional feels overwhelmed but cannot afford therapy. A couple drifts apart under the weight of stress.
Many people fall into the gap: they may not qualify for assistance, yet therapy remains out of reach. Even with insurance, high deductibles and limited coverage can create real barriers.
Without access to care, struggles can grow heavier. Relationships suffer. Productivity declines. Hope fades.
The Ripple Effect
One Life Changed Creates Lasting Impact
When someone receives mental health support, the impact can extend far beyond the person receiving care.
A parent becomes more present.
A child feels more secure.
A couple reconnects.
An employee regains focus.
A student rebuilds confidence.
A community becomes stronger.
Helping one person does more than change a moment. It creates a ripple that reaches families, workplaces, and communities.
Why This Matters
The Need Is Real
National data show that mental illness is common, treatment gaps remain, and cost is a major barrier for many people who know they need care.
23.1%
of U.S. adults had a mental illness in 2022 — more than 1 in 5 adults.
27.1M
U.S. adults with any mental illness did not receive mental health treatment in 2023 — slightly less than half of the 58.7 million adults with any mental illness.
59.8%
Among adults with any mental illness who reported an unmet need and went without treatment in 2023, 59.8% said treatment would cost too much.
Rural communities can also face provider shortages. Explore HRSA Health Professional Shortage Area data.
